Jan. 9th, 2012 11:31 pmIRL progress/treading-water-sucessfully; my lease is now sorted through Feb 22nd (although I expect to be out of here at least a little sooner than that, because I need to go hang out with Z for a few days prior to the 25th). Yesterday I finished the other thing I was making for Z, yay! It being Monday, I called the people who needed calling and subsequently had to go visit D.M., who is at least very good at being superficially nice and sweet (she's only a POS on the inside), and am likely to be working a couple of days a week for her as of next week (sadly she is an irritating employer on the outside. Both of the two worst employers I've ever had have been self-centred, high-femme serial divorcees with a noticeable aversion to actualfax work; I am developing a Type here).
She gave me the giant binder of this year's IRS updates, which I am trying to get through tonight; yes, they are very bad news for almost everyone who was working in the USA last year. I'll try to make a numbercrunching post about how hard the Republican congress is screwing you all later.
Due to the plans that got upended I am not scheduled to work at all this week, which is a great pain to my workaholic self but I'll try to use the time as best I can. On the plus side I could easily end up working seven days next week to make up for it, and for now at least I have enough spare energy to exercise semi-properly.
