My pc is going in and out of meltdown. First it wouldn't do the RAM check and then (after much prodding and dust removal) that cleared up but it wouldn't give me graphics or sound - it pulled itself together for precisely long enough for me to backup my yWriter files (this is important), then scrambled the graphics before losing them entirely. It gave them back again several attempts later, and here I am typing into my proxy because I am too scared to open Firefox. I'm stability-testing my graphics card right now just on the offchance that that's what's buggering up, but idk, idk. I had a good look while I was cleaning the innards and the capacitors don't look like they're getting plague-sores (one or two look like they might be bulging but that could just be paranoia and there's nothing dribbled out of any of them as far as I can see).

(I doubt I'll vanish entirely, as there's about three other computers in this house, one of which actually works but doesn't have the right software for its wireless card - I can just plug my ethernet card into that and keep on going. I'm hoping I could stick my hard-drive in there too, but we shall see. Til then, will be backing shit up as best I can.)
