I fail at sleeping and writing this weekend - decided to take a break from the latter, but that just means my brain has nothing to do with all its pent-up energy and it just bounces off walls all night. I've swung round to thinking that the story I was plugging at is actually crap, because a) I suck at scenario, b) the overplot stuff part 1 was full of (it involved Lenin's ghost, even) is not remotely relevant to the final purpose of the story which is providing porn, c) I became suddenly very worried about the fuel consumption of vintage motorbikes and am now terrified of working on the middle part of it, which unfortunately is not porn, and d) what I have is not a story, it's a pretty pile of mess.

Yes, I should just handwave all the mess and get the story out, however silly it is, I know. But yesterday, I needed a break.

There is no other news, really, other than that I love China Mieville and I want to make pineapple cake but have no eggs. :(
