-we are moving, a week on sunday, to a place I love already; the costs of setting up there will be somewhat horrible at we will have no money at all until January 8th but yes yes yes. I hope the Grendel likes it too. It is technically a one-bed flat but it is strangely enormous. The living room is huge and there's one of those crazy American closets that's almost the size of the room I lived in in my first year in Leeds - I'd steal it for writing but I love daylight too much: dilemma.

-I start a part-time job tomorrow. This was meant to happen last week (and we wish it had) but they kept pushing it back. I will be starting a second part-time job in mid-January that I am likely to both like more and earn way more money at, but hey. I am a little nervy but v. happy about job. Job is not far from new place. Am considering roller-skating as a viable form of commuting post-move. Yes, of course I'm serious. :)

HOORAY for moving~ Have you ever seen Futurama? There is a mention of the weird big-closet thing in one of the episodes. Could one use candles in the big big closet, or has it no ventilation?

Big American closets have lightswitches inside, so light per se isn't the problem - I just like daylight! Though there's barely any of it in my current writing space anyway...I guess I'll decide what to do about it once we're moved.

Part time job is at the same place M works, just cashiering for now, so no great excitement and a fair bit of foot pain BUT HEY, MUNNY
