/failing so hard I win
Jan. 3rd, 2013 02:09 amhello, I still have magical January powers and therefore an interview tomorrow afternoon! i am understating the hilariousness of the evening's processes here;
I email this one guy at half past five
--->we go off to pick up Chris
--->I answer the phone in the car at 6.30 even though M tells me not to because I was in the middle of giving him directions and I have a whole exciting conversation about jobs while he desperately looks for somewhere to pull over before we end up way off-track
--->we eventually do find our way to Mass Ave/dinner/Nakki
--->after we ate, the waiter inveigled one of us to pull a ticket for their prize draw. We nominate Nakki on the grounds that she has all the luck and wins all the things, she denies this completely while we remind her of all the things she has ever randomly won, and she unfolds a ticket for a $50 gift card. NAKKI.
--->on the way home, M tells us about his Assassin's Creed/Django Unchained/Inception crossover headcanon. Oh come on, you can totally see the plot already.
--->watched another episode of Sherlock. It's fun, but I mostly like it for the London porn.
It's only an agency interview but they're fairly specialist and they want people who do the thing I do (and new regulations may have drastically reduced the number of people who are legally allowed to do what I do), so this is legit promising. I only hope that the last year of my life has not been too grievous an eyesore. If it doesn't pan out then plan B is to bug someone at the company that I usually get work from at this time of year, who I know for an actualfact will give me money. Either way, it's both nice and a bit shocking to realise how close I am to truly moving on.
Between that and rattling off an entire bitty shortfic in the little hours of last night, I think I am okay with 2013 so far; it is not fired yet.
