I HOPE SO TOO - I am interested in seeing how it plays with four people, ie. without initial relationships between every pair of players. Next weekend, we shall hope.
Pages 17 and 18 say it's only with 'neighbouring players' / 'the two friends to your right and to your left'. It's more ambiguous elsewhere in the pdf, and I imagine either would work.
My first game of Fiasco went wildly, delightfully off the rails (we were using the summer camp slasher film playset, but our relationships spun out into such a fascinating web of drugs, lust, and revenge plots that we forget all about the slasher part). I think we got half the setup wrong because I ended up in charge of that despite not having read all the rules before or being appreciably more sober than any other player, but this did not in any way wreck the fun. Can't wait to play it again, because SO AMAZING.
We seem to be making a saturday afternoon Skype thing of it lately, if you would like to join us sometime? We haven't picked a playset for the next time yet - I am thinking I'm going to vote for the post-dungeon-crawling one. Yesterday's was 2pm EST, which is likely to be typical, as our dear ringleader is one of those European Extreme types.
