well, wow. I am mostly okay with this whole new home thing? (Assuming this is actualfax real and nothing ridiculous happens during the whole application process, but Ting is pretty sure it's legit.) For one thing, it is cheaper than it has any right to be, not even THAT eyewatering a markup from an equivalent-sized place in ATL; we are told that the landlord (who we've not yet met) is a decent human being who 'gives people a chance', which is why he is okay with dog-owners, and may also be why his last tenants were terrible people who completely trashed the place so they were rush-signing new tenants on the cheap even though they hadn't finished the repairs yet. The big downside is that there is not even a tiny bit of green space for my dogs, although there is a park very close by. fff they can learn to poop on the tarmac yard, okay.

Ting wants us to stay for the weekend; after that, wow do we have a lot to do. For tonight, I have been drinking in an attempt to not panic moar.

ACTUALLY YES, CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW EXCITE I AM ABOUT HAVING MY OWN BEDROOM. WE GET TWO BEDROOMS AND A KITCHEN THAT IS NOT PART OF THE LIVING ROOM. AMAZE.

NOT SHARING ROOMS WITH ONE'S ROOMMATES HAS BEEN A MAJOR CULTURE SHIFT IN THE LAST 50 YEARS AND I LEGIT THINK THAT YOUNG PEOPLE WANTING PERSONAL SPACE FOR SEX, MASTURBATION AND PORNOGRAPHY IS A MAJOR DRIVER OF THAT. HEH, I WAS THE MIDDLE CHILD AND FOR AGES WE USED TO ALL SHARE A ROOM (IT IS ALWAYS FUNTIEMS WHEN A FAMILY OF FIVE LIVE IN A HOUSE WITH FOUR ROOMS + BATHROOM); EVENTUALLY THERE WAS MORE SPACE, AND THEN Z MOVED AWAY AND I TURFED H INTO A DIFFERENT ROOM WHEN I WAS ABOUT 14-15 OR SO. AMERICANS HAVE BIGGER HOMES ON THE WHOLE, AND THEREFORE DIFFERENT NORMS RE. SIBLINGS SHARING (OFC AMERICANS ALSO HAVE LARGER FAMILIES, WHAT WITH THE WHOLE BREED FOR JESUS THING).

LOL AND THE HOUSE I FINALLY GOT TO HAVE MY OWN BEDROOM WAS THE RENOVATED BATHHOUSE. WE ALL GOT OUR OWN ROOMS (except the two youngest) AND EVEN OUR OWN SHOWER STALLS! FRINGE BENFITS, INDEED. That was a weird house, though, for obvious reasons. I kind of miss it, idk, it was very secluded, there were woods and a lake and I used to make believe it was Middle Earth.

I hope your dogs adjust to city life, though, and don't become destructive or start peeing everywhere. :/
