no time to self, and I keep offering it away to the world because having it is so not working out for me; to notJojo, to the lady from Norway, little bits of real. I have been working inconvenient times at job a so am not done jumping through hoops to get retrained at job b yet, which did NOT stop D.M. from popping out and leaving me alone there to field questions from clients today even though she was not paying me, AND she still smokes in her office so I had to wash my hair before my evening shift at job a today; oh my god I hate working for her but I love the job itself, fuck everything. Job a has, for the most part, been bearable these last two years simply because there is always something to do; not so on rainy midweek evenings in January and I spent part of the night just stood at the front desk & trying to draft part of the ♠wreck on printer paper, staring at streetlamp arrays and green neon signs outside; hence post title. (no. not really. not quite. maybe in the next to last chapter? NO.)

and yet. The world is being stupidly cuddly at me still, and yesterday I got a decent line for the first time in ages. ('Would I tidy my hair to kill anyone?' <---OH, YOU + you know it's true hate when.)

The GM at my place smokes at her desk too. :/ I'm lucky though, that my workstation is on the opposite end of the part of the kitchen that is her ''office''. We have such lovely bosses, yes?

That shit is NOT LEGAL, HI. esp not in food preparation areas I am sure? D.M. is just self-centred and full of contempt for her corporate parent, her clients, and I guess anything else that is not her. So yeah, screw company policy AND the law AND anything that might make clients happier! I miss doing this job for competent people but eh, I will be elsewhere by next year, right?

IT'S AMAZING WHAT SOME PEOPLE CAN GET PAID LOTS OF MONEY FOR, ISN'T IT. :( I am confuse though - last restaurant I worked in, the hostess just took down all the catering details when the owner wasn't around, and then the owner would make follow-up calls later? The owners of the business you work for don't sound very on-the-ball though.

We donut have a hostess, so the managers field all the catering calls.

This place is run so bassackwards...and then the owners wonder how they got 60k in debt. It didn't happen overnight, that's for damn sure.
