-randomly changed my DW layout again; not 100% on it yet.
-in the past 4 days I have done nothing useful except work three shifts and write about 5k. Why has no one killed me yet :( Today my shift was much later than usual and all I did afterwards was doze in the bath. /fails
-GA is ridiculously warm and I have no energy, none.
-I guess I monologue all over random strangers late at night because I'm an MGS fan.

My sole contribution to writing this week has been a cracky Animorphs kink meme fill. :(

I am on a random Batman/Superman reading spree tonight! One of those things where I don't give a shit about the canon but the slash fandom nevertheless makes me wibbly inside. And all I have written today is some post-canon wangst that has nothing the hell to do with any of the other things I have been trying to write recently. head. desk.

And now I'm kinda curious about Batman/Superman, ngl. I never cared much for Superman, but I have fond memories of Batman from way back when.
Thinking about Batman makes me think about Power Rangers, and I feel the need to see what kind of fic is out there for both. THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH.

Mmm, Metal Gear is the only fandom I've been a social bunny in in an awfully long time, and it's not a large fandom, although it makes up for it in pure amazingness.
hahaha my ex-gf is into Super Sentai fandom, which is the Japanese side of Power Rangers fandom (Power Rangers is the American remake). So there is definitely stuff out there, although I have no idea what.

Also the link for the Batman/Superman fic isn't working. :(

There were all kinds of things I got brief obsessions over but I figure my first serious fannish obsession was the Star Wars Expanded Universe but I fell out of it hard when I was about 14 or so and it took an abrupt turn for the crappy - so I permanently quit giving a shit. Fannish thinking/creating is so natural, isn't it? I didn't even know there was a whole fandom culture out there until I was 16 or so.

Also took a look at some PR stuff, but none of the summaries looked interesting and I only care about the original series, ffff why am I wasting my time like this anyway. Good thing I don't have to be at work tomorrow until 12, haha.
One of my sisters is a big time Star Wars fan, lol. I once read some of the novels out of curiosity, but it's just not my thing. I used to watch Star Trek TNG and The X Files during their original airing, but the thing that really launched me into fandom culture was Valdemar when I was 17, ffffffffffffffffffffffff and then I spent the next couple of years dicking around in yaoi forums.

My first online fandom was Final Fantasy (readingwise, mostly VIII, writingwise, mostly IX - I love playing with its billion minor characters). It was huge and wanky but I learned a bit about the mechanics of writing fanfic (and it was other people's FFVIII fics that made me fall in love with first person present), and then I tried writing the LHM fics that I needed to - kk, i tend to mostly go for fic if there's an opportunity to address canon in some way, by elaborating on it or 'fixing' it or whatever, and oh god lol some things need fic more than others, and I started venting my own bereavement trauma all over it; not a good idea, wow was I not mature enough to deal with the combination of how much I cared and how much shitty fic there was out there, hence repeated ragequitting - but it was also the first real outlet I'd ever had. no wonder it is still my go-to place to offload trauma. Anyway I am still tickled that you left me two fic reviews in 2004. ;_;

I feel the same way about fic; it's almost always the canons that are lacking in some way that I want to read and write about. Of course with Animorphs that means slashing the hell out of everybody, even the aliens. XD The canon het pairings are fun, and it's probably the only fandom besides Firefly where I happily read the het fics as well as the slash, but there is so much hot hate sex/angst potential with my fave slash pairing ;____;

SPEAKING OF HATESEX I have written you an entire scene of it now, and am tempted to focus my next efforts on trying to spruce up the buildup to it so I can offer you something resembling a Chapter 1, though god knows if I will ever slog my way to anything resembling a conclusion. sigh why does storytelling involve work, i just want to write the fun parts and be done with it. :(

THAT FIC IS THE WEIRDEST THING EVER, AND STRANGELY INTRIGUING. I D E K if I had a wifi connection to mooch I would def have checked it out by now. :(
OH FFFFFFFFFFF YESSSSSS DO WANT. and I know the feeling. I guess I can tell you I also have some more V/S kink written. I have to work on it some more though. :D But it will be posted soonish.
