why am i so scatty

seriously, I am mixing up little stuff an awful lot and it is not good. :( I do not have enough time for anything, have quite possibly no free evenings this week - I may or may not be working on Friday night and therefore have to pack for the epic roadtrip before then, am doing friend-things tonight and tomorrow night, and definitely working a nightshift on Thursday. And then I decided that this was totally necessary because if I didn't do it this week I couldn't be involved at all. I now have thirty minutes to make a lunch I am not yet hungry enough to eat and to come up with a few good drabble prompts.

At least my laptop is working; it took 10 minutes to find the OS this morning, which I put down to an accident I don't know the details of because I was asleep at the time, but I am imagining one of those doomsday device diagrams involving Grendel, a shoji screen, my end table and a cup of water. I woke up enough to get the shoji screen upright and then that was that, because wow did I have a sleep backlog. Just, it better stay working. I would like to buy it some more RAM if I can teach myself how to install such a thing.

argl everything argl. I gave up on not writing and dived into some original femslash and am having to try to teach myself a whole bunch of missing skills AND new forms of rewardingness; fortunately the fic thing I mentioned last week is still stuck in my notebook. Someone stated an intention to adopt one of my old [community profile] ff_exchange prompts; yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. Oh god, prompts, I have about twenty minutes now ;_;

Depending on the laptop, RAM can be ludicrously easy to install. On both of mine all you do is take the cover off the port, flip the existing chip out (of its adorable little housing that sits up when you push it in) and slot the new one in. Regardless, there should be an online manual for your model telling you how to do it.

also hello I love you my brane is too dead to do more than spool tech advice out of neural pathways without proper conscious intervention :(((((
