-i am impulsive and baking and otherwise being totally lazy. I caved and started scribbling a thing in my notebook yesterday, but haven't yet touched it today.
-every day needs a 'thene is terrible' moment and this was yesterday's.
-coincidentally Z got her parcle yesterday, not from me as such but ordered by me for her from the dear boys at Stade Francais (NSFW, NSFW).
-fiiiiiiiinally up to date with Homestuck, and, all the fun stuff with the Ancestors made me realise why Fly started hating it for existing, but; Aradia is my new Frank. Oh god. She is the Frank to Doc Scratch's Clark and the Frank to Dave Strider's Raiden. Love love love.
One for the uninitiated; I think this panel demonstrates the subtlety & innovation with which Homestuck explores its medium (yes, the 'character' in black there is the author, who has expressed bemusement about the fact that his self-insertions have led to fans cosplaying as him. The mind does indeed boggle.)

ywriter is good for keeping my current set of scribbles in a place where I can look at it all, and I have a few different frags files at any one time so that I can dive in and pull stuff out to work on. I like it; it's free, it's nothing fancy, and it lets me feel my way around my brain. I have a feeling it's much less useful if you write long things, though; longest thing I've written so far was only 26000 words, so laying out a novel in ywriter is probably way harder than that.
