dragoncon, #1:
I am in TOO MUCH GOING ON mode and work is killing me. So. There was a con. We took lots of photos, went to a couple of meets and panels, watched a lot of people, bought a few art prints, and then went home.
Since then I have been working myself to death and having weird, weird things happen to my life. So I'm still not even kind of done with sorting photos. But here's a batch to begin with, from the Homestuck meet on Saturday. I didn't take my costume; it wasn't ready, but I wound up wishing I'd gone with it anyway. OH WELL ANOTHER TIME.
STRIFE, and MORE STRIFE.

These were the people I met first, in the queue. They were SO NICE that I started shipping Dave/Aradia on the spot.
FOR GREAT JUSTICE. (I met this Terezi earlier, with her Nepeta - terrible lighting, but awww. The plush was handmade by a friend of hers.
Fact; Homestuck fans do good props. There were pogohammers and other hammers, needlewands, and timetables. One of the Karkats came with scary red eyes.
All the Vriskas. All of them. (That robot arm is SO GOOD.)
Most important characters...one of whom is rescued, while the other meets a tragic fate. And there are many, many facepalms.
Fact; Jade has some great outfits. I've never seen any cosplay pics of a 3am Jade, so this may be the only one out there; here's a Dress of Eclectica in denim, too. I also saw an amazingly well-structured tentacle-dress Jade, but she was way across the art room from me and I didn't get a pic at the time, and she didn't come to the meet :(
Also in unique things? Who the fuck cosplays Davesprite? She says she's had thoughts about how to incorporate the sword but oh wow would that be hard, and oh wow is it awesome as it is. Bonus points because I love Davesprite so much. However, Nepeta is not sure about this. And here is another pic, with the Snowman who did show up, posing together because they were our only non-kid non-troll characters.
Gamzee! Who brought a cooler full of Faygo and some green cheesecakey pies. Which did not spare him from a tragic and obligatory fate. Kanaya, also bringing us the classy femslash.
