-saw Thor, was excruciatingly bored; please wake me up when mainstream culture has something interesting to tell me. No srsly there were a few crumbs to chew on, but they (the Fake Science and Fake Mythology, both of which I always love, plus two of the three interesting characters - Darcie and Heimdall) were sorely underused and thus helpless in the face of the epic boreded. This isn't about slickness or production values or anything, and while it may be about how one is too small a number of interestingly-written central characters (Loki obv) it is probably more about worldbuilding even without regard to consistency - I had way more fun watching TRON:Legacy and I didn't even care about any of the people in it except for the trans female Sam in my head. just, quit ignoring the good things you can do in favour of generica. Build stuff. Wake me up.
