It is so beautiful outside today. this place we live, it's a one-bedroom basement flat and moving away from it is one of my most immediate life goals but i have formed an understanding with its roots, in the literal sense of literally.

yeah, that was some amazing morning sunshine - I walked out this morning and just HAD TO go get my camera. I tried to take some proper pictures of Grendel but I couldn't get him to stand still ><

I suppose this is one of the "perks" of living here--you can live in the middle of the city and still look like you live in a relatively secluded part of the country. It's one of the reasons I chose the apartment complex I did--trees everywhere, and yet I live almost right in the city center (of course I don't work in the city center -_-). And AWE PUPPY.

So many trees! I took these pictures right outside my door - there's constant traffic noise from a nearby highway, but I can live with that. It is nice to have somewhere for Grendel to play around (Precious doesn't get to play off the leash - she has a deep desire to befriend cars :/ )

I'm honestly not used to what 'middle of the city' even means in this kind of environment. Totally different kind of urbanisation from what I'm used to; much less dense, but there's that feeling of the land having its own parallel existence that goes on around the patches that human beings have cut out of it to live on.

Agh! I used to let my cats outside, until I saw Oz dart across a busy road which was quite far away from my apartment. No more outside for them. :/

I get what you mean, actually. It's just that the city I live in now is more like a proper city, whereas places like Marietta are just a sprawling jumble of shopping centers and business parks. But, then, Marrieta is a suburb of Atlanta, isn't it?

Yeah, that's it exactly - I have this need to live somewhere 'proper'. Charleston looks nice. XD

I thought about going to culinary school in Charleston. /cool story Still too goddamn expensive, though.

We once went there for a concert that was part of their annual festival thingy, and I fell so in love ;_; It's like something out of southern France but a bit more square. I can bet it's an unbelievably expensive place to live though.
