a) Immigration just randomly gave me permanent residence for no fucking reason. I imagine that they're just trying to save money by rushing all the soft cases through unchecked, and being white and British probably makes my case one of the soft ones. This is good in that it removes obstacles that we hadn't hit yet anyway, so M is being all bouncy and happy and I am being more 'whatever' because only one person in this relationship is remotely capable of thinking ahead.
