not being exhausted would be really nice. *sigh* I slept all afternoon, and spent all yesterday afternoon being a massive ball of fail, so feel like I don't have any space because this is meant to be the easy part of the week.
I am not even sure what it was I was trying and failing at doing any more - writing, I petered out somewhere in the middle of something and decided to fix it by splicing in dialogue from a failed attempt at idk from ~5 years ago (trufax I have got worse at dialogue since then - my dialogue confidence is mostly shot these days due to mentally juggling two different dialects), but ffff no energy to make it happen. I did, however, make delicious cake. and forgot to wash my clothes. i don't even know.
re. level of fail I am at; yesterday I actually tried to cave and blow $15 on a copy of the LHM in the Borders clearance (for all my lulz/the 30k-ish of fic I've written in the last few months, I've never owned a copy) but our local one no longer had any. This is probably good for everyone involved but I do already have 200 pink post-it notes, a roll of masking tape and an extra-fine purple sharpie waiting on my desk for the time when one eventually shows up. Sadly not joking. Would much prefer secondhand in any case and must acquire myself. Am particular, and also batshit. I got some more Reynolds and #12 of the NGE manga instead anyway.
re. bitching about dialogue, I did squeak this out and thus realised that MGS dialogue is nothing like any other kind ever, hence more confusion, I am sure. Ngl while it's mostly disposable I do like #5 just because it is a totally sideways take on the prompt.
