re. actually booking tickets for Feb

Nothing is going to be perfect, but I have a hierarchy of preferences - avoid anything involving the Newark dodge, avoid landing in Gatwick, go overnight, keep an eye on the time. The massive catch in the one I'm currently eying up is that it has a fricking eight-hour layover in Boston on the way over.

I have enjoyed such catches before.

Why am I awake? ;_;

eta: I've found another pretty good one that's a lot cheaper and a little more convoluted (it leaves from Orlando rather than Tampa - why yes, we are driving all the way to Florida just to drop off our dogs, and even Tampa-London flights that go via Atlanta are cheaper than Atlanta-London flights - and involves hiking from JFK to LGA but gives us many many hours in which to do it and the cost offset is more than enough). Not sure which one would be preferable, if they even still exist by the time we have assembled all our money into one big pile to pay for this. gah.
