I wrote 1400 words yesterday. Today I'm at more of a loose end and am, yes, flicking through Wikipedia trying to figure the whole scenario out. My currently open tabs are: motorcycle history prior to WW2, Japanese puppet governments in Inner Mongolia, Sun Yat-sen, and a few map images.
For some mysterious reason, I'm getting a lot of mileage out of listening to bad country & western music while poking at this thing. *facepalm*
I already suspect this is going to wind up more satisfying than anything I've done since Ghost Stories (fact: Ghost Stories is the least popular story I've written all year, but I think it's the best one). I just need to get this a) comprehensible to people who know nothing the fuck about 1930s China and b) finished by the 21st. :/
