So this rig is overheating. I know why, obv; it's because it's old, cramped, and the graphics card has a heat sink rather than a fan because the case was too cramped to fit one with a fan in there. Said heat sink is probably not doing its job anyway as it's basically engaged in sexual congress with the sound card because everything is too cramped. I'm wondering about removing the spare disc drive and the floppy drive (the former I only use for UK DVDs, the latter I don't use at all), but I don't know if that would really help too much - it could just fuck with the airflow as the thing was built to fit them in.
*sigh* Allowing it to keep on having CPU temperature crashes = bad. Dunno what to do, though, other than seriously rationing my playing time.
Another great annoyance: don't you hate it when features you thought came as standard get taken away by advancing technology for no discernible reason? Yeah, me too. Dragon Age doesn't have a writeable journal. WTF, I have all these thoughts and nowhere to put them.
