yuletide (placeholderish)

sorry, I'm on holiday and will clean this up later. feel free to skim the tags on my works/bookmarks if you want to know what kind of stuff I go for. I'm always up for horror, prose experiments, new takes, stuff with a strong sense of place/aesthetic, kink, stuff focused on womxn, post-canon unpacking, your fantheories, your point of view.

[11/15 still moving slowly but moving, at least. added more for Dirty Computer]

General DNWs:
-a/b/o
-kidfic
-RPF and pseudo-RPF (eg filling in the blanks of characters' lives with stuff from the lives of the actors/writers etc)
-crack
-AUs
-I am okay with you writing about domestic violence (like please look at 4/5 of these canons, this is relevant content) but if you do so, please tag it, it is amazing how many people do not tag it.

The Matrix
I am genuinely struggling to know what to specify here, I love this fandom so much. Def look at my bookmarks and my fic tags if you want to get a feel for my interests here. I'll throw out a few themes I'm big on but really I am fine with wherever you want to go.

Stuff I'm interested in:
-post-M4 anything
-memory and/or identity
-Tiffany, and the aftermath of Tiffany.
-family abolitionist takes on M4 / What it means to be an ex-mother. (I'm OK with some wrestling with this so long as she doesn't wind up regretting leaving her role as a mother, or being condemned for it.)
-wow I love cyborgs. i love bodies being weird. please don't forget about the weird metal parts or that these people are unnaturally made, those are my favourites.

Things I am not really interested in:
-pre-M1/backstory scenes.
-simfics: I don't want to rule these out as they're sometimes wonderful and can have a lot to say about canon, but I'm only interested if there's a strong connection with canon. If it's more like a generic AU written as a Tiff/Tom simfic, that's a DNW.

Dirty Computer
-wow i love cyborgs
-i love finding that deep human core that can't be taken away
-idk if it helps but I have read The Memory Librarian so won't be lost if you're pulling from there

-Che wears a jacket that says 'RIP'. What does this commemorate? Or is it something more abstract, in a world where you will be sedated if you resist conformity?
-Tell me about Zen's journey as she begins to remember and feel connected to Jane again. Does she start to remember Che too?
-i CANNOT get over Jane's persistence of being
-Zen (as MaryApple53) says that being 'cleaned' is enjoyable, and 'nice as pie'. What is it like to resist that feeling?
-How did Jane, Zen and Che come together as a group? Would love to see something about them as a throuple, or working as a team.

The Space Between Worlds
-here for the immigrant precarity of it all.
-interested in post-canon! if you want to do that.
-selfcest optional but definitely permitted.

-been thinking a bit more about Dell; would be really interested in seeing Dell nursing her crush in spite of the social/professional lines that it crosses. But also post-canon, how does it feel to be crossing those lines then? this is a lot of feelings.

Monstress
-i am so here for coexisting with the monster inside you.
-and whatever the hell is going on with Maika/Tuya, i am here for it.
(I'll have read part 8 before this exchange wraps)

AER

full disclosure, I'm a polytheist and I keep shrine to two AER gods; I'm not KO or even much kemetic. (Nothing against KO, it's just not what I do). fiction=/=reality, I just thought you should know so you can make an informed choice about whether to write this prompt.

scrape of my AER notes from the entry form:

Some stuff I'm interested in:
-Aset visits the world in the guise of an older woman, with her seven scorpions. I'd love to see a contemporary take on this.
-Queer and trans takes, esp on Aset and Wesir, and the contendings of Horus and Set
-Syncretic takes and takes that contextualise AER - eg AER framed as a form of African Traditional Religion, or stories that make use of Greco-Roman worship of Egyptian deities
-underworlds and afterlives
-contemporary tales about any of the above!

Stuff I'm not interested in:
-cats (nothing against them, just not what I'm here for)
-kingship/worship of the monarchy
