Dec. 9th, 2011 08:14 pm-I told some of you already; we just extended our lease by 3 weeks to give ourselves more time to find a place to live. We are fortunate that our current landlords hadn't managed to let out our unit yet. The moment we'd done this I realised it was exactly what we should have planned on all along and now I feel totally stupid for cutting down our income stream so damn early. Hi, I am going to be doing tax filing, I won't be working in Boston until January 13th, so why the frick didn't we just ask for a lease extension back in October?
Well, at least rent here is way less than rent there, and it's likely we'll both still be working for a few days a week at least until xmas. I need to sort out my goddamn PTIN though, and possible call D.M. and ask about IRS updates, argh forever.
-Have I mentioned all the completely useless agents who never get back to us? Well. I actually got replies to two emails about rentals that I sent out yesterday. One of them now appears to be a scam, and the other is, on the surface, a batshit insane fundie but may also be a scam. I LOVE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I PUT EFFORT INTO THINGS, IT IS ALWAYS SO FUCKING REWARDING.
-there is nothing quite as depressing as running into a really attractive 19/20year-old who used to be your coworker, and who is known for her very sensible approach to life, and having her introduce you to her baby bump and explain that this is why she's put off her planned radiography degree. And then say it was an accident, and unconvincingly pretend to be happy.
