Jan. 7th, 2011 10:54 pmI now properly have a tax filing job and I start Mondayish; also starting mondayish is snow, which we are supposed to measure in inches here, of which four. Should be interesting. I am already pondering the differences between working for crazy Republican accountants (last year) and working for crazy Republican lawyers (this year); lawyerly types are not laid-back about expense exploits, I am disappoint! The distinction is one of chaotic evil vs lawful evil, and significantly differing principles on the topic of due diligence, I quote; We are not auditors vs We are a first line of defence against tax fraud. Not sure which is ultimately more pleasurable - making the tax code suffer or making my dumbest clients suffer it - but I am going to get to find out.
And I've half a feeling lawyers are less discreet than accountants, and I've half a feeling [crowbar, insert]; but yes, if I'm fretting this year it's about people rather than work, or money. meh.
