(no subject)

So I haven't done much today except chilled (necessary) and made a couple more little-things.

I never did do any kind of Christmas post on lj, so instead have been ambling along off-the-cuff, making little things out of ribbons/paper/coconuts and putting them in envelopes. I'm not very good at making things and don't know how to make anything useful, so it really amounts to an excuse for me to be silly. Objects have been a bit of an obsession for me this year (nonconcidentally XVI) - might be my dislike of Things trying to work itself out, never more so than at Christmas when people are wont to try to offer unnecessary and burdensome Things. Information, connexion, systems, aesthetic, ideas <---much more valuable than Things and in some cases you won't even have to abandon them because you can't take more than 100lbs-weight of physical possessions with you across the border.

I know my approach to the whole problem of value resting in physical objects is flawed because I just made someone a darker and edgier fandom-themed Christmas card. I am pretty sure I don't get it. :(
