Oct. 7th, 2009 01:04 pm-the person who interviewed me last week never got back in touch, but hey it was an unpaid intern thing anyway and for the first and last time in my life I got interviewed by someone who gave a shit about my degree, yay.
-I passed the theory test for my driver's license this morning.
-Caffeine, I am quitting it for no particular reason. This has been murder on my sleep cycle and unpleasant for my head, spine and wrists but it's been trippy enough to be worth it. It's been slumberous and veering out of the real. The only problem is that I don't have enough caffeine-free whatsits around - just water, camomile teabags and lemon and ginger teabags - and need to go out and get some chocolate powder and maybe some instant decaf or something because fuck it I love the taste of coffee. I still drink it in night classes because there's nothing else around except soft drinks.
-I forget if I even mentioned the tax processing classes, but they are less boring than they sound and if nothing else comes up they should provide me with a little bit of money in the early months of the year. Besides, learning to do things makes me happy. Bite me.
-the annoying thing about living with smokers is that there's nothing to counter the smoke except for more smoke so while it is kinda good to be digging into our giant incense stockpile I have no idea what fresh air is like any more. *sigh* The reason I have never bitched about this before is that it's just recently got much, much worse and I am hiding under my rock and not bitching about it out loud because that would give the mistaken impression that I care about the presence and wellbeing of said smokers. See, I tend to be fine with people I like smoking around me (Alex: "I like giving myself cancer") but the people in this house who I care about are all people who don't smoke. This includes all the dogs. I do not, however, care about all the non-smokers; Abigail's rabbit, for instance, I keep telling Grendel not to menace it, but really both my mind and his are consumed with thoughts of pie.
-another thing not mentioned; my lovely sister is getting married, and may or may nor wear red, which may or may not depend on the extent to which Gaiety has appointed herself as wedding planner IDK.
