also, packing is such a, etc. though hopefully less so if you are moving somewhere awesome.

We are at least very eager to get started on the packing more than a month in advance; let's see how long that lasts.

I suggest screw everything and write more, but I am certainly not without bias, lol.
I hate packing too, fffff I might be doing some myself in the spring. We shall see.

augh I have missed your comments! My fault for being antisocial about using my lj. (I always feel like I ought to be trying to entertain people over there, whereas here I like to maintain the fantasy that there are no readers and I can post what I like). You are moving? Whereabouts?

Sadly I have no writing in me right now. I don't know why, you'd think being in a better headspace would mean I could write more. :( I just kind of poke at what I have written, and maybe do some line editing, but nothing meaningful. :(((
I am thinking about moving back to Gulf Shores and working there over the summer. You can make an absolute killing down there working the resorts and restaurants, and if I can find a cheap place to share with some housemates, I'll just throw all my stuff in storage and head down there. Don't know what I'll do about the cats, though. Having three of them would make me a bit of a hard sell as a housemate, I imagine.
After the summer, I don't know. Echo, (pastrywench on LJ) is planning to move to ATL, and we've been bouncing around the idea of living together for a while. We'll see.

Atl has a seriously crap job market right now (10.3% unemployment as of Sept) but doesn't everywhere? It would be funny-tragic if you moved here right after I left, although Nakki may wind up doing the same - she's thinking of applying to GA Tech for grad school. Such is life!
mm, I bet to some people cats would be a plus but then there's those with allergies, or those who have a pet themselves already. but, good luck with your beach-town summer! And I hope everything works out for you and Echo - Atlanta isn't the best place to be in but it sounds like it probably offers more opportunities than the place you're at now. And we were driving down Ponce the other day to get to the market and I remembered that it's beautiful sometimes. /hug

Well, Atlanta has to be better than Phenix City or even Auburn/Opelika. I work in Columbus, GA right now, and I'm telling you, as much as I hate my job...and it's one of the few places around here with a fine dining menu. Of course they take a million shortcuts and my soul weeps. I will save as much as I can in Gulf Shores to help cover costs during that inbetween jobs time.
